Services Detail

  • Clinic Operations: Staff are available every Monday evening, and 1st and 2nd Tuesday evenings, from 5:00 to 7:00, for the walk-in clinic, and 3rd Tuesday afternoons from 2:00 - 5:00 (walk-in and by appointment). Walk-in patients are seen in the order of signing in and being processed through Intake. Staff are available on the 4th Tuesday evening for the metabolic clinic by appointment only.

    • All patients are seen by a professional caregiver, then referred to an appropriate treatment source if needed.

    • Clients with emergency conditions are sent to the Transylvania Community Hospital Emergency Room.

    • Health counseling and preventive education are offered.

    • In-house lab tests are available on a limited basis, such as urine dip sticks or blood glucose (blood sugar). X-rays and other tests are done by a certified lab.

    • Treatment decisions are at the discretion of the clinic staff member on duty.

  • Community Pharmacy Operations: Staff are available every Monday and Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 to 4:00 pm to process applicants and prescriptions. Prescriptions are accepted from ANY physician treating a patient who resides Transylvania County.

Note: The Clinic and Community Pharmacy are closed on legal holidays.

Eligibility for Services

To be eligible for Clinic services, patients must have no health insurance (including Medicare and Medicaid) and have family income within 200% of the federal poverty guidelines.

To be eligible for Community Pharmacy services, patients must have no prescription drug insurance and have family income within 200% of the federal poverty guidelines.
