Dr. John Folger has been practicing medicine in Brevard since January, 1956 and brings his vast wisdom and experience in family practice to the clinic, where he serves as our Medical Director.

Dr. Folger is a graduate of Davidson College and the Bowman Gray School of Medicine. He served in the US Navy twice, in 1945-46 as a Corpsman, and then in 1953-54 as an Intern.

Dr. Folger has also served in various positions for many years with the Transylvania County Health Department, Schenck Job Corps, Brevard College, and the Brevard Music Center's Music Camp.  His other areas of service include working with the Transylvania County School Board, serving as a County Commissioner and serving as a member of the Session of Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian Church. He and his wife Hilda reside in Brevard. Together they have raised five children and a growing number of grandchildren (thirteen at this writing).
