Susan grew up in Charlotte, NC and attended the College of Charleston in South Carolina where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. Instead of pursuing a teaching career, she bought a restaurant which she operated in Brevard for eleven years.

She left the restaurant business in October 2007 and came on board with The Free Clinic of Transylvania County the following May. “I am grateful to have a job where I am able to help so many people in need. I am also privileged to work with such an incredible staff here at The Free Clinic of Transylvania County.”

Susan has three daughters, now ages seven, eleven and twelve.
