Support The Free Clinic of Transylvania County

The Free Clinic of Transylvania County is supported through grants and donations from individuals and groups in Transylvania County. From inception through December 2009, we have received over $600,000 in donations from individuals, local churches, civic organizations and foundations, and over $700,000 in grants. In addition, we have received generous support from Transylvania Community Hospital in the form of laboratory tests for our patients.

In the fiscal year ended in 2009 we have received grants from the Blue Cross/Blue Shield NC Foundation, the North Carolina Association of Free Clinics, United Way, and Transylvania County, as well as very generous support from St. Philips Episcopal Church. However, the costs of prescriptions and laboratory tests increase as we serve additional patients. Therefore, we still need your support. Our current operating budget depends on approximately $175,000 in grants and $150,000 in donations.
